ডেস্ক রিপোর্ট: বছর ঘুরে আবার এসেছে পবিত্র শবে বরাত। আজ রোববার রাতে পালিত হবে এই মহিমান্বিত রাত। ফার্সি শব্দ ‘শবে বরাত’-এর অর্থ ভাগ্যরজনী। এই মর্যাদাপূর্ণ রাতে মহান আল্লাহ তাআলা বান্দাদের জন্য তাঁর অশেষ রহমতের দরজা খুলে দেন।
হিজরি সালের শাবান মাসের ১৪ তারিখ রাতটি মুসলিম উম্মাহ পালন করেন মহিমান্বিত ভাগ্যরজনী হিসেবে। ইসলাম ধর্মাবলম্বীরা বিশ্বাস করেন, এ রাতেই পরবর্তী বছরের জন্য ভাগ্য নির্ধারণ করা হয়।
শবে বরাতের আরবি লাইলাতুল বরাত। ইসলাম ধর্মাবলম্বীদের বিশ্বাস- শবে বরাতের রাতে নির্ধারণ হয় পরবর্তী এক বছরের হায়াত, রিজিক, আমল। এ রাতে রয়েছে পাপ মোচনের সুযোগ। অন্যান্য দেশের মতো বাংলাদেশের মুসলমানরাও এ রাতে ইবাদত-বন্দেগি, জিকির-আজকার, মিলাদ-মাহফিল, নফল নামাজ আদায় ও কোরআন তিলাওয়াতে মশগুল থাকেন; মৃত স্বজনের কবর জিয়ারত করবেন তারা।
পবিত্র শবে বরাত উপলক্ষে রাষ্ট্রপতি মো. আবদুল হামিদ, প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা, বিরোধীদলীয় নেতা হুসেইন মুহম্মদ এরশাদ ও বিএনপির মহাসচিব মির্জা ফখরুল ইসলাম আলমগীর পৃথক বাণী দিয়েছেন। রাষ্ট্রপতি তাঁর বাণীতে বলেন, মানবজাতিকে আল্লাহ তাআলার বিশেষ অনুগ্রহ ও ক্ষমা লাভের অপার সুযোগ এনে দেয় পবিত্র রজনী। প্রধানমন্ত্রী বলেন, ‘আসুন, সব ধরনের কুসংস্কার, কূপমণ্ডূকতা পরিহার করে আমরা শান্তির ধর্ম ইসলামের চেতনাকে ব্যক্তি, সমাজ ও জাতীয় জীবনের সর্বস্তরে প্রতিষ্ঠা করি।’
শবে বরাত মুসলমানের কাছে রমজানের বার্তা বয়ে আনে। রমজানের প্রস্তুতি হিসেবে অনেকে আজ ও আগামীকাল রোজা রাখবেন। সন্ধ্যায় প্রতিবেশী ও দুস্থদের মধ্যে ইফতার এবং হালুয়া-রুটি বিতরণের রেওয়াজ রয়েছে এই দিনে।
বাদ মাগরিব বায়তুল মোকাররম জাতীয় মসজিদসহ দেশের প্রতিটি মসজিদে বিশেষ ওয়াজ মাহফিল ও দোয়া অনুষ্ঠিত হবে। প্রতিবছরের মতো এবারও ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন বায়তুল মোকাররম জাতীয় মসজিদে রাতভর মাহফিলের আয়োজন করেছে। এতে বিশিষ্ট আলেমরা বয়ান করবেন। ফজরের নামাজের পর বিশেষ দোয়ার মাধ্যমে শেষ হবে মাহফিল। এ ছাড়া বিভিন্ন সামাজিক ও ধর্মীয় সংগঠন আলোচনা ও মিলাদ মাহফিলের আয়োজন করেছে।
শবে বরাত উপলক্ষে আগামীকাল সোমবার সরকারি ছুটি। শবে বরাতের পবিত্রতা রক্ষায় রাজধানীতে বিস্ম্ফোরক দ্রব্য, আতশবাজি, পটকা ও অন্যান্য ক্ষতিকারক দ্রব্য বহন এবং ফাটানো নিষিদ্ধ ঘোষণা করেছে ঢাকা মহানগর পুলিশ (ডিএমপি)।
