মন্ত্রী আরও বলেন, বাংলাদেশ একসময় বিপন্ন দেশ ছিল। দারিদ্র্যের কষাঘাতের দেশ ছিল। প্রাকৃতিক দুর্যোগের সিম্বলিক দেশ ছিল। আজ সে দেশ প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার নেতৃত্বে বাংলাদেশ বিশ্বের বিস্ময়, উন্নয়নের রোল মডেল।
বঙ্গবন্ধুর স্বপ্ন বাস্তবায়নের জন্য প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা অবিরাম কাজ করে যাচ্ছেন। তারই অংশ হিসেবে দেশের প্রাণিসম্পদ খাতের উন্নয়নে ডেইরি ডেভেলপমেন্ট বোর্ড প্রতিষ্ঠা হচ্ছে। এটি হবে দেশের প্রাণিসম্পদ খাতে যুগান্তকারী পদক্ষেপ। মন্ত্রী বলেন, করোনাসহ বৈশ্বিক অর্থনৈতিক সংকটের মধ্যেও প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা দেশের উন্নয়ন প্রকল্প বাস্তবায়ন করে যাচ্ছেন। মৎস্য ও প্রাণিসম্পদ খাতের যেকোন উন্নয়ন প্রকল্প তিনি অগ্রাধিকার দেন।
